Did Storage Wars Fire Jarrod Schulz After His Alleged Assault on Brandi Passante?

With its blend of drama, treasure hunting, and vivid personalities, the A&E smash series Storage Wars has kept viewers enthralled for years. Not all the drama, though, occurs on TV. Longtime cast member Jarrod Schulz, who was accused of domestic violence against former wife and co-star Brandi Passante, had one of the most startling off-screen incidents in the program.

The Reported Event and Analysis
Brandi Passante was hanging out with friends at an Orange County, California pub in April 2021 when Jarrod Schulz showed up, sparking a violent dispute. Reports state that Brandi begged Jarrod to leave, but he apparently objected, shoving and yelling at her.

Though Jarrod departed before they arrived, police were summoned. Later, a law enforcement source said Jarrod refuted the claims under interrogation. Though the verdict of the case is yet unknown, he was finally charged with misdemeanor domestic violence battery.

Following these claims, A&E apparently started an internal inquiry to ascertain Jarrod’s future on Storage Wars. Although the network never openly addressed the issue, Jarrod’s appearances on the show dropped dramatically following the incident, leaving viewers wondering whether he was sacked or opted to leave.

The Separate Among Brandi and Jarrod
Among the most identifiable couples on the program were Brandi Passante and Jarrod Schulz, sometimes known as “The Young Gun.” They were fan favorites because of their chemistry, sometimes typified by amusing arguing. But the couple’s marriage broke up during the pause between 2018 and 2021 on the show.

“I’m not with Jarrod anymore,” Brandi said, confirming their divorce during an April 20, 2021 Storage Wars episode. The two were never formally married even though they referred to one other as husband and wife.

Following their split, Brandi became a single mother parenting their two children, Payton and Cameron. She said in interviews how the split helped her to regain her independence.

After the Separation: Life
On Storage Wars, Brandi Passante has stayed a regular sight. She made appearances in the most recent Season 15 episodes of the show and still gives her profession and family top priority. She broadcasts the Happening Now With Hammer podcasts on YouTube and is in a new relationship with Clifford Beaver.

Conversely, Jarrod Schulz has been under less public notice after leaving Storage Wars. He apparently moved on romantically as well and owns and runs the Rush Bar and Grill in Lake Forest, California.

A&E Fire Jarrod Schulz: did it?
Although the network has not said whether Jarrod Schulz was let go, his disappearance from later seasons says volumes. His final full-time showing on Storage Wars was in 2019 during Season 12. He returned briefly in Season 13, but it was clear he was tense with Brandi.

The former pair stayed in touch during Season 13 even though they were apart. In an interview Jarrod clarified, “Just because me and Brandi aren’t together anymore doesn’t mean we can’t go to an auction—but separately.”

Still, their exchanges at auctions were anything from friendly. In one episode, Brandi referred to Jarrod “an idiot” for shelling out $400 on an apparently useless storage space. She even had her friend Mary Padian bid on her behalf to stay away from directly challenging Jarrod.
